Luz (Claudette) is a Mexican attorney with an interest in promoting long-term thinking in governance. After graduating summa cum laude from ITAM Law School, she began her career working with civil society organisations to fight gender violence and corruption. In 2022, Claudette was appointed by the United Nations Foundation as one of ten Next Generation Fellows. She has advised the negotiations of the UN Declaration on Future Generations and currently coordinates the Long-Term Governance programme at the School of International Futures, which supports countries and communities to activate systems that prioritise the wellbeing of current and future generations. In this role, she weaves networks connecting political leaders and practitioners globally, and documents practical research that helps institutions translate international commitments into empirically informed action.
