Christy Jackowitz is the Associate Dean for Philanthropy at the Blavatnik School of Government.
She has more than 30 years of professional fundraising and nonprofit management experience. Starting at the University of Connecticut, Jackowitz has worked with student leaders, volunteer solicitors and board members, as well as development professionals, event planners and public relations experts. Jackowitz has been involved in annual and capital campaigns at universities, medical centers, foundations, community and international organizations. She has devised training programs for faculty, volunteers, alumni and board members to increase their understanding of fundraising principles, leadership needs, and philanthropy. Most recently, for almost 15 years, she has been the Senior Associate Dean for Alumni Relations and Resource Development at the Harvard Kennedy School. Jackowitz graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Science in management and finance and attended The Fundraising School at the University of Indiana. She is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Women in Development, and the Planned Giving Council of New England.
