Cath Elliston is Policy and Advocacy Manager for the What Works Hub for Global Education, at the Blavatnik School of Government, University of Oxford. The Hub brings together governments, researchers and global education partners to improve foundational literacy and numeracy, in a joint initiative supported by the UK’s Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office, World Bank, UNICEF, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and the British Council.

Cath has over a decade of experience working across policy engagement, advocacy and communications. This involved leading policy campaigns on school food for the Jamie Oliver Group and consulting for organisations including the Elton John AIDS Foundation and Tim Berners-Lee’s World Wide Web Foundation, through her work with Future Advocacy. 

She is a proud trustee for Alexandra Rose Charity, which aims to make it easier for everyone to access fruit and vegetables in their local communities through vouchers and social prescription projects. 

Cath holds a first-class degree in English from the University of Cambridge.
