Carly is an Aboriginal woman from Melbourne, Australia with experience across the private, public and not-for-profit sectors. After beginning her career at PwC, she worked in legal and policy roles within the Victorian Government's Department of Justice before joining the Australian Football League, where she serves as Head of First Nations Engagement. Carly holds degrees in Politics and Law and is admitted to practise as a lawyer in Victoria. Her work has centred on Aboriginal Affairs and advancing outcomes for First Nations communities. She is particularly interested in policies that reduce Aboriginal over-representation in the criminal justice system through sustained investment in early intervention, prevention and economic empowerment. The MPP presents an opportunity to deepen her policy expertise and contribute to more effective and equitable approaches to public policy in Australia and beyond.
