biography

Candela is a licensed psychologist from the University of Buenos Aires and the founder of Bellamente, a non-profit organisation committed to preventing eating disorders and promoting the social acceptance of body, sexual, and gender diversity. She is also the author of the novel Bellamente and the non-fiction book Consumidas and has been a TEDx speaker with the talk 'Deconstructing the Concept of Beauty'.

Candela's work as a researcher, communicator, and consultant focuses on gender, body image, and digital violence. Driven by a purpose to ensure future generations grow free from social mandates, she has experience of developing and evaluating socially impactful programmess across public, private, and international sectors. Her commitment to social transformation drives her involvement in intersectoral dialogues and decision-making, with a perspective centered on diversity and innovation.
