biography

Originally from Colorado, USA, Brian earned a BA in Chemical and Physical Biology and Government from Harvard University.

While at Harvard, he founded the World Pre-Health Conference, an international conference based around advancing health that has now had over 3,000 attendees from over 60 countries. Brian conducted research on CRISPR-based diagnostics and computational epidemiology in the lab of Pardis Sabeti, along with serving as Co-President of the Harvard Pre-Medical Society and a director of the Harvard Square Homeless Shelter.

Looking forward, Brian plans to work in international health policy, including through academia or international organisations such as the World Health Organization. Brian hopes to develop initiatives to optimise the provision of aid, expand community health programs, and enhance global cooperation in health. After his studies at Oxford, Brian will attend Harvard Medical School.

Brian is a Rhodes Scholar.
