biography

Bianca graduated with honours from Law School at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), making her the first woman in her family to obtain a university degree. Her main line of work has been focused on human rights, access to justice and the anti-corruption agenda. Bianca has worked as a research assistant of an Inter-American Court of Human Rights; as part of the advisor team of the National Ombudsperson where she was the youngest member of the team; and currently as a policy analyst at a civil society organisation. She is also the General Coordinator in Mexico of Action4Justice, a UK-based organisation which promotes legal action for social justice. Bianca hopes in the future to bring together actors from civil society and law enforcement authorities, with the aid of international cooperation, to generate methodologies for local prosecutor offices to guarantee access to justice to vulnerable communities and to efficiently prosecute high impact crimes.

Bianca is a Chevening Scholar.
