biography

Bhavya is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow (Net Zero Governance Systems) at the Climate Policy Hub.

Before joining the Hub, she completed her PhD in 2024 from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore. Her doctoral thesis on Central Banks, Climate Risks, and Capital Flows examined the role of central banks as policy actors in mitigating the physical and transition risks posed by climate change to financial stability. During her PhD, she also spent one year at the Macmillan Centre for International and Area Studies at Yale University, USA as a Fox International Fellow in 2022-23. Before enrolling for a PhD, she was a Visiting Research Fellow at the Crawford School of Public Policy in the Australian National University.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Shri Ram College of Commerce, University of Delhi, and a master’s degree in international relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
