biography

Benjamin Weiser is a recent graduate of the University of Richmond, where he studied Political Science and Leadership Studies.

While at Richmond, he was a member of the President's Student Cabinet and the student government, where he successfully advocated for the establishment of an independent Office of Disability Services.

Benjamin also worked on a successful senatorial campaign in his home state of Georgia which was instrumental in flipping the Senate. Then, he served as a legislative intern in the Senator's new DC office, working on policy issues and constituent outreach within the labour, infrastructure, and transportation portfolio.

Benjamin's main policy interests lie in addressing inequities resulting from systematic and institutional failures through the development of stronger, more efficient public systems that allocate resources efficiently to serve the people. This includes inequities resulting from issues in public transit, infrastructure development, healthcare systems, and sustainability efforts.

Benjamin is a Jepson Scholar.
