biography

Born and raised in Indonesia, Ben's policy career has centered on the interplay between the private sector and regulators in Indonesia. HIs most recent role as a policy advocacy manager at the US-ASEAN Business Council, an ASEAN-focused trade association, allowed him to engage in policy discussions at both the regional and national levels. Ben led the formulation of policy recommendations aimed at bridging the world's largest corporations and the Indonesian government in various policy areas, with particular attention to digital technologies policy such as data, AI, and platform regulation.

Ben graduated from Universitas Indonesia, majoring in International Relations, where he was awarded the best final paper for his literature analysis on Indonesian foreign policy. Before moving into the government affairs field, Ben's initial foray into public policy was assisting an Open Government Data project at the Office of the President of Indonesia.

Ben is an Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education (LPDP) scholar.
