Bautista is from Argentina and has a keen interest in education policy, with a particular focus on strategic planning and teacher professional development. Before coming to Oxford, he worked at the Buenos Aires City Government, coordinating the development and execution of the education strategic action plan for 2024-2027.
Bautista is pursuing the MPP to enhance his policymaking skills and leadership abilities. Convinced that education is the best tool for individual freedom and the key to sustained development, Bautista's long-term goal is to lead the design and implementation of policies and reforms in the Argentine school system to improve student learning outcomes and reduce inequality. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Universidad Austral, where he also taught Latin American History.
