Anna Luiza is from Minas Gerais, Brazil, living proof of how visionary public policy can transform lives. Raised in a family of civil servants, Anna Luiza saw firsthand how effective governance expands opportunity. She holds a degree in International Relations and a specialisation in Economics and Sustainable Management from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. Over the past decade, Anna Luiza has worked across diplomacy, climate policy and sustainable development, holding positions that range from early career roles to leadership in international cooperation. Her professional journey includes working for the British Embassy in Brazil and the UN Alliance of Civilizations, where she drove initiatives that foster dialogue, sustainable growth and climate action. Her passion lies in connecting climate ambition with economic resilience so that emerging economies such as Brazil can thrive fairly and sustainably, guided by the belief shared by every Brazilian that with enough hope and hard work nothing is impossible.
