biography
Andrew grew up in Melbourne and completed a Bachelor of Arts in History at the University of Melbourne in 2019. Since then, he has worked in a range of roles within the New South Wales state government, including as Manager for Complaints and Proactive Compliance at the Information and Privacy Commission NSW, where he contributed to the rollout of the state-wide Mandatory Notification of Data Breaches Scheme. He now serves as Principal Policy Officer at the NSW Ministry of Health, where he leads a team responsible for enhancing patient privacy and coordinating data breach responses across the public health system. Beyond government, Andrew has experience in the non-profit sector, having worked with the NGO Reledev Australia during his undergraduate years to improve education access and deliver disaster relief for communities across Oceania. His policy interests lie in privacy, data security, and digital governance and he hopes the MPP will prepare him to help strengthen Australia's cyber resilience.
