biography

Alina is a public policy professional with over 10 years of experience in Russian politics, NGOs, and independent media. She holds a BA in Political Science from Lomonosov Moscow State University, the top-ranked university in Russia. Early in her career, she interned at a political consultancy before joining one of Russia’s leading democratic political organisations as a manager. When the organisation was shut down under pressure from the authorities, Alina transitioned into investigative journalism.

With a background at the intersection of politics, media, and strategy, Alina brings strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills. She is pursuing the MPP to deepen her expertise in political advising, public policymaking, cybersecurity, international security, and geopolitical affairs, with a particular interest in conflict, democratic resilience, and international relations. Alina is a Chevening and Hill Foundation scholar.
