For seven years Alexandra worked across the United States to develop and implement innovative, sustainable government initiatives for community change. In her home state of California, she worked on cutting-edge climate justice policy under two Governors. 

Alexandra was recruited to work at the Federal Emergency Management Agency to travel nationally and export successful models of community investment and support within marginalised communities. Following President Biden’s signage of the largest climate investment package in the world, the Inflation Reduction Act, Alexandra led the development of a $2 billion funding opportunity at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency that will reduce environmental harm and combat climate change. 

She is a first-generation college graduate and an alumnus of California State University, Fresno, where she was awarded the University President’s Medal of Distinction.
