Alethea is Malaysian professional with a background in public policy and politics, focusing on governance, institutions and democracy. Her career in public service is marked by significant contributions in various public offices, including the Speaker of the House of Representatives’ Office and the Leader of the Opposition’s Office. She has been instrumental in shaping key legislation and developing strategic plans for parliamentary reforms.
Alethea's leadership extends beyond government roles, as she has earned numerous government appointments and served on national youth councils, advising the government on youth development and public diplomacy. Having completed a bachelor’s degree in psychology, she is interested in reconsidering public policy issues from a behavioural science perspective. Her journey is fuelled by a commitment to advancing progressive policies and fostering inclusive governance in Malaysia.
