Alejandra is a Colombian lawyer from Manizales, a city in the heart of the Andes that shaped her passion for public service. She holds a master’s in digital law and has built her career across different levels of government, from being elected as a local councillor at a young age to working at Colombia’s Ministries of Environment and Housing and leading public policy for women in her hometown. These experiences have shown Alejandra how deeply good public policy can transform people’s lives. Her main interests lie in digital government, social policy, gender equality and the use of technology and evidence to build more effective and inclusive institutions. Through the MPP, Alejandra hopes to become a better public servant and contribute to building a more innovative, equitable and responsive public sector in Colombia.
