Aisha graduated from the University of Nairobi with a bachelor's degree in economics and statistics and have spent the past five years working in consulting across the private sector. Most recently, her work has focused on development programmes and social impact initiatives, spanning stakeholders in government, development partners and the private sector. She is passionate about advancing sustainable development in Kenya and the wider East African region. Aisha’s policy interests lie at the intersection of international development, food systems transformation, and climate and sustainability. Her lived experience has shown how the development of Kenya, and the larger sub-Saharan Africa is a multi-faced and interconnected system, and she looks forward to exploring how policy can move the needle to impact the system.
