Diana Dajer (MPP Class of 2014) presented a paper summarising her current DPhil research to the VII Congreso Internacional en Gobierno, Administración y Políticas Públicas (Conference on Public Policy, Government and Public Administration) which took place in Madrid last October. The paper, entitled Peacebuilding from the ground up: participatory budgeting as a transitional justice mechanism in Colombia, was awarded the prize in the 'Government' category. The event is one of the biggest conference of the kind in Ibero-America. They meet under the umbrella of the Group on Public Policy, Public Administration and Government (GIGAPP).

Carlos Santiago Guzmán Gutiérrez, an alumnus of the Master of Public Policy and the MSc in Public Policy Research, has received the inaugural Michael Cichon Graduate Award for outstanding master’s thesis in Social Protection. The award recognises his MSc thesis, “Universal Social Protection Schemes in Forced Displacement Settings: Evidence from Colombia.”
