We at the Blavatnik School of Government would like to congratulate our founding donor Len Blavatnik for being awarded a knighthood in the Queen’s Birthday Honours this weekend.
The official statement says: “For over a decade [Len Blavatnik] has built a record of outstanding personal philanthropy in the UK to education, cultural and charitable causes including a commitment in 2010 of £75 million to Oxford University to establish the Blavatnik School of Government.”
The Queen’s Birthday Honours lists 2017 recognise the achievements of a wide range of extraordinary people from across the UK, including other donors and academics from the University of Oxford.
