Sri Mulyani Indrawati, Indonesia’s former Minister of Finance, will take up the World Leaders Fellowship at the Blavatnik School of Government for 2026.

The Fellowship is designed for global leaders who are transitioning from steering their countries to the next stage of their public leadership journey. Sri will have the opportunity to share her knowledge with current and future global leaders through mentoring of students and alumni, convening global leaders, and exploring innovative approaches to government.

Sri Mulyani said:
"It is an honour for me to join the Blavatnik School of Government as a World Leaders Fellow at the University of Oxford—an institution that brings together diverse perspectives to reflect on public policy and the governance challenges faced around the world. I hope to contribute thoughtfully to this community, sharing my experiences while continuing to learn, and to support the next generation of policymakers as they prepare to lead with integrity, competence, and dignity in an increasingly complex environment."

Ngaire Woods, Dean of the Blavatnik School, said:
“We are so pleased that Sri Mulyani is joining the Blavatnik School to share her rich experience of global economic policymaking. Our students come from over 60 countries around the globe to hone their skills for public service, including elected office, and I am delighted that they will have a chance to learn from her.”

Sri is the first Minister of Finance to have served under three successive Indonesian Presidents and was awarded “Best Minister in the World” in 2018. She will hold the Fellowship position for one year.
