Aliyyah Ahad (MPP Class of 2015) is the co-author of "EU Migration Partnerships: A Work in Progress", which examines how successful the European Union has been in reaching the aims of the Migration Partnership Framework. The framework was introduced in response to the 2015-16 European migrant and refugee crisis, and was intended to be a guide for the EU and Member States when cooperating with migrants' countries of origin.

Aliyyah has also co-authored an op-ed for Politico Europe, entitled Let refugees intern at the European Commission, on a similar topic.

Carlos Santiago Guzmán Gutiérrez, an alumnus of the Master of Public Policy and the MSc in Public Policy Research, has received the inaugural Michael Cichon Graduate Award for outstanding master’s thesis in Social Protection. The award recognises his MSc thesis, “Universal Social Protection Schemes in Forced Displacement Settings: Evidence from Colombia.”
