Robert Fisher (MPP 2016) has been named as Deputy Chief of Staff for the Mayor of Nashville, John Cooper.
Robert initially joined the mayor's team in June 2020 as Senior Advisor for education, responsible for supporting schools, higher education institutions and other organisations dedicated to learning within the Metro Nashville district. As Deputy Chief of Staff, Robert will support the mayor's initiatives across a broad range of policy areas. He will also continue as a senior policy advisor with an emphasis on education.

Carlos Santiago Guzmán Gutiérrez, an alumnus of the Master of Public Policy and the MSc in Public Policy Research, has received the inaugural Michael Cichon Graduate Award for outstanding master’s thesis in Social Protection. The award recognises his MSc thesis, “Universal Social Protection Schemes in Forced Displacement Settings: Evidence from Colombia.”
