Anna Abela (MPP 2018) was the recipient of this year's Nico Colchester Fellowship and spent the summer writing for The Economist in London as their journalism fellow.
The Nico Colchester Fellowship, established in memory of Nico Colchester, who died in 1996 at the age of 49, after an outstanding career at the Financial Times, The Economist and the Economist Intelligence Unit, consists in two awards. One, for a British or Irish applicant, in continental Europe at the Financial Times; the other, for an applicant from elsewhere in the European Union, in London at The Economist.

MPP and MSc alumnus Carlos Santiago Guzmán wins the inaugural Michael Cichon Graduate Award
Carlos Santiago Guzmán Gutiérrez, an alumnus of the Master of Public Policy and the MSc in Public Policy Research, has received the inaugural Michael Cichon Graduate Award for outstanding master’s thesis in Social Protection. The award recognises his MSc thesis, “Universal Social Protection Schemes in Forced Displacement Settings: Evidence from Colombia.”
