Zuzana Hlavkova (MPP 2018) volunteered in Slovakia's nationwide COVID-19 testing which took place last weekend.
The mass testing was the first of its kind in Europe and it was organised by the government in the hope that it will help reverse a surge in infections, avoiding a strict lockdown. Zuzana was amongst the thousands of volunteers who joined army and doctors in 5000 testing sites set up and run by local authorities. By the end of the weekend, 3.6 million people (nearly 70 % of the whole population) were tested. Tests will be repeated next weekend to monitor the impact on the spread of the virus.
