About the roles

The Blavatnik School of Government has an exciting new opportunity for two talented Programme Administrators to join the School’s Executive Programmes team.

Executive Programmes is a rapidly growing area within the Blavatnik School of Government, which is further expanding over the next few years. The team design and deliver a variety of executive programmes that aim to improve both personal and organisational effectiveness within the public sector. Our suite of programmes has grown significantly over the last two years, and we have an exciting year ahead with more new programmes launching.

Due to the growth, and the requirement to deliver exceptional service levels across all our programmes, we are looking for two motivated, organised, and flexible individuals to join the team. Working closely with the Programme Managers, Programme Administrators and the Outreach and Recruitment Manager, you will support the admissions, planning and delivery of online and in-person programmes.

The two roles on offer will each focus on different aspects of executive programme administration – one role focusing on outreach and admissions, with the other focusing on planning and programme delivery. Both roles are fixed-term for two years.

For further details on each position, please consult the relevant job description below.

About you

We are looking for candidates with experience organising and delivering events or programmes, along with a can-do attitude, and willingness to learn and support the team. Given the nature of the programmes, and the peaks we experience throughout the year, we need a true team player who will take that extra step to ensure things run smoothly across all processes and programmes.

As the role is outward-facing and involves working with internal stakeholders, partner organisations and a diverse range of participants, this role requires exceptional interpersonal skills and experience delivering high levels of customer service. Therefore, diplomacy, tact and enthusiasm are essential.

If you believe that you have the experience to make a positive impact on our Executive Programmes team, we would love to hear from you. For an informal conversation about either role, please get in touch with the HR team (recruit@bsg.ox.ac.uk).

Whilst these roles are grade 5 (£27,131- £32,348, with a discretionary range to £35,333, per annum) positions, we would be willing to consider candidates with potential but less experience who are seeking a development opportunity, for which an initial appointment would be at grade 4 (£23,715 - £27,131 per annum) with the responsibilities adjusted accordingly. This would be discussed with applicants at interview/appointment where appropriate.

Application process

You will be required to upload a covering letter/supporting statement, CV and the details of two referees as part of your online application. Please also indicate which role you would have a preference for in your supporting statement.

The closing date for applications is 12 noon (UK time) on Monday 6 February 2023.

We anticipate that interviews will take place during week commencing 13 February and will be conducted virtually.
