Reporting to Federica D’Alessandra, Executive Director of IPS at ELAC, the postholder will contribute to IPS research on geo-political challenges affecting multilateral cooperation on international peace and security as part of IPS broader work. They will contribute to development and fundraising activities, contribute ideas for new research projects and support grant writing, and assist in organising conferences, workshops and seminars convened by the programme. They will also act as a source of information and advice to other members of the research team, and engage in postgraduate teaching and assessment as required.
The successful candidate must hold a PhD/DPhil in International Relations, possess specialist knowledge in the area of geo-politics and political theory, and sufficient knowledge of transnational human rights politics. They will have the ability to: manage their own academic research and associated activities; contribute ideas to new research projects and research income generation; work collaboratively across disciplines and engage constructively with stakeholders. They will have experience of contributing to publications/presentations and leading projects across a team, and be an enthusiastic networker. Excellent communication skills and a demonstrable commitment to public policy are also essential.
Grade 7: £33,309 - £40,927 p.a.
