As AI models become increasingly powerful, a critical question emerges: who should regulate AI and how?

Amal Clooney, Visiting Professor and Co-Founder of the Oxford Institute of Technology and Justice, will moderate a panel of experts discussing the meteoric advancements in AI through the lens of regulation and governance. Panellists will consider AI-powered cyber attacks, autonomous weapons, mass surveillance and the role of the role of government, business and civil society in safeguarding frontier AI models.

Panellists include:

  • Amal Clooney, Visiting Professor of Practice at the Blavatnik School of Government
  • Juan Lavista Ferres, Corporate Vice President and Chief Data Scientist of the AI for Good Lab at Microsoft
  • Hany Farid, Professor of Computer Science, Dartmouth; Co-Founder, GetReal
  • Verity Harding, Founder of Formation Advisory Ltd and Director of the AI & Geopolitics Project at the University of Cambridge’s Bennett Institute for Public Policy
