Lecture Theatre, Blavatnik School of Government, 10 Merton Street
In this student-organised event, one of Oxford's best China historians and director of new Oxford China Centre, Rana Mitter, is to give a special seminar at the Blavatnik School of Government on China. He has written extensively on Chinese nationalism, Republican era Chinese history, the Sino-Japanese War, 1931-1945, and its legacy. His most recent works include A Bitter Revolution and China's War with Japan, 1937-1945, both of which have been very well received by critics. Rana also presents Night Waves on BBC Radio 3.
Take part in an intimate discussion with Rana about China's modern history and its legacy on China in the 21st century.
This event is open to members of the University. It would be strongly preferred if you could RSVP to steven.wang@lincoln.ox.ac.uk, to enable us to estimate attendance.
