05 February 2019, 07:15 - 11:36
Houses of Parliament, London
Invited audience only

Paul Collier, Professor of Economics and Public Policy at the Blavatnik School of Government, will present the arguments from his latest book The Future of Capitalism: Facing The New Anxieties, a candid analysis of the strengths & failures of capitalism, and his recommendations for how it can be repaired.

With politicians across parties increasingly concerned about growing economic, social and cultural rifts in society, this seminar is an opportunity to engage with a world-leading economist to discuss the reforms Britain needs. There will be responses from two MPs, one of whom will be Alison McGovern, MP for Wirral South & a member of the Treasury Select Committee.

This is the first in a series of 'Oxford in Westminster' seminars hosted by Lord Wood in partnership with the University of Oxford, bringing its ground-breaking research and innovation in science and the humanities to a wider audience.

The event is for an invited audience only.
