Are Taquerias Healthier than Fast-Food Restaurants? Migration, Food Diversity, and Health Gains from Variety
Osea Giuntella, University of Oxford
Osea Giuntella is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Blavatnik School of Government. His main research interests are in health and labor economics, with a particular focus on minority health and health disparities. His current research seeks to explain the interplay of socio-economic and cultural factors in determining risky behaviors, health and access to care. He also studies the effects of immigration on native working conditions and health outcomes. As a separate strand of research he is interested in the relationship between ethnic networks, religious institutions and socio-economic behavior. He holds a PhD in Economics from Boston University (May, 2013) and joined the IZA as a Research Affiliate in January 2013. He received his B.A. and Master's degrees from the University of Rome 2, Tor Vergata.
