Pranav grew up in Singapore as a first generation Indian immigrant, and completed National Service in the Singapore Army before enrolling at Stanford University. He graduated this year with Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Computer Science, specialising in Computational Biology and Artificial Intelligence.
Pranav is interested in the intersection of medicine and technology, and most of his professional experience thus far has been in scientific research: bioelectronics, cancer biology, and medical AI. Technologies like AI will transform medical care, and have begun to do so, but will require thoughtful policy measures to ensure that their benefits are realised equitably.
Pranav hopes that the MPP will be the first in a series of steps for him to help create frameworks for the governance of health technology. After Oxford, he plans to pursue medical training in the United States.
Pranav is a Rhodes scholar.
