Grade 7: £32,817 - £40,322 (with a discretionary range to £44,045) p.a.
The primary responsibility of the Development Manager will be to identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit and steward donors who are able to make high-value gifts. The postholder will develop new donor relationships and build on existing ones, whilst playing a key part in advancing the School’s development needs and external relations.
The post is ideally suited for enthusiastic individuals with excellent relationship-building skills, likely to have been gained in a complex environment, and seeking to further a career in fundraising.
The successful candidate should possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with strong influencing and relationship-building skills, and the confidence, sensitivity and awareness to deal with high-profile individuals. With excellent attention and a flexible can-do approach, you will be a strategic thinker and have demonstrable experience of prioritising workload and working to tight deadlines. A good first degree, IT skills, and previous experience of working in a fundraising environment are also essential.
