About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join the Blavatnik School of Government as an Apprentice in Business Administration.

You will be required to complete an 18-month training programme that will cover all aspects of the role and will be delivered through in-house training, as well as day-release or other distance learning methods delivered by Abingdon and Witney College. You will complete a Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship in Business Administration. College attendance and successful completion of these studies is an essential requirement of this Apprenticeship.

Across the two years of the apprenticeship, you will gain hands-on experience of working in three different teams at the Blavatnik School of Government. Starting in January with four months in the Admissions team where you will support the processing of applications and assessments for our degree programmes.

This will be followed by a four-month period starting in May in the Executive Programmes team, where you will support the preparation and delivery aspects of our in-person non-degree programmes and short courses for policymakers. This will include logistical arrangements internally and externally; accommodation, catering, IT/AV and travel logistics for participants and guest lecturers/ speakers.

Lastly, you will spend four months (starting September) working within the Programmes Team. This will involve providing administrative support to the delivery of our graduate degree programmes, namely the Master of Public Policy (MPP) and MSc in Public Policy Research. The student cohort at the School is truly international along with the guests we welcome.

You will be passionate about starting your career and excited about the opportunity of becoming an apprentice at the School. You will have excellent organisational and communication skills as well as the ability to work well within a team.
