About the role
We are seeking an Alumni Relations Assistant to join the Development and Alumni Relations team. If you thrive in a dynamic, outward-facing environment and are organised, collaborative and detail oriented, this could be the role for you
As Alumni Relations Assistant, you will support our alumni vision: a globally connected body of practitioners providing mutual support across sectors and borders and, in doing so, improving government and public service worldwide. You will provide support to the Alumni Relations Manager and work across a range of activity, including communications with alumni, in-person and virtual meet-ups.
Your key responsibilities will include undertaking day-to-day administrative tasks such as responding to alumni queries and data collection and recording, so willingness and diligence in the face of routine duties is critical.
This post is fixed-term until 31 December 2024 to cover a period of maternity leave, with an ideal start date of 13 November 2023.
About you
You will bring energy, enthusiasm and a facility for learning fast. A strong grasp of the written word and strict attention to detail are essential. This is a great opportunity for someone who combines being deeply people-orientated with being detail-oriented.
You will be service driven while building on strong administrative skills, with experience of working in a field relevant to the role and ability to master new software and platforms quickly.
If you are excited by our mission, enjoy working with people and are known for your can-do attitude, this is the post for you.
Application process
You will be required to upload a covering letter/supporting statement, CV and the details of two referees as part of your online application.
The closing date for applications is 12 noon (UK time) on Monday 25 September 2023.
First-round interviews will take place during week commencing 2 October and will be held virtually.
