The Blavatnik School of Government’s flagship degree is its one-year Master of Public Policy (MPP) – a programme that, each year, is made up of diverse and hugely talented and experienced students from all around the world. Admitting the very best people to the MPP is a key priority for the School. Each year we receive a huge number of applications and we are now hiring Academic Admissions Assessors to work alongside our faculty for MPP admissions for 2023.
You will participate in training and group assessment of applications from October until mid-December 2022, ahead of independent assessment of a number of applications during our peak assessment period in January and February 2023. Academic Admissions Assessors are expected to complete up to 200 hours of assessment.
The successful candidates will hold an undergraduate degree, and a postgraduate degree and/or significant applicable professional experience which links to public policy. They will have experience of academic teaching, marking and/or admissions in a University or comparable context, together with the ability to independently manage time and workload and excellent judgement. Having a doctorate, particularly in an area relevant to public policy (e.g. philosophy, economics, political science, or law) would also be an advantage.
These posts are fixed term until 28 February 2023. The pay rate will be at Grade 7.10 (£22.94 per hour).
