Admitting outstanding and committed students to this programme is a key priority for the School. Each year we receive a huge number of applications and we are hiring Academic Admissions Assessors to work alongside our faculty to ensure that the best students are selected.

Assessors will participate in training, complete up to 200 hours of assessment, and attend a number of meetings to discuss verdicts and judgments. Training will take place in November and December 2021, with assessment from then until March 2022, peaking from 10 January until 26 February 2022.

Assessors are expected to have academic experience in a university context or similar, together with excellent judgment. Having a doctorate, particularly in an area relevant to public policy (e.g. philosophy, economics, political science, or law), would also be an advantage.

Assessors will be paid at the rate of £21.94 per hour (the hourly rate for grade 8.2).

Further details of the role and the selection criteria can be found in the attached job description.

Please submit your CV and a brief covering letter explaining how you meet the selection criteria (both documents to be saved with your name) to recruit@bsg.ox.ac.uk and admissions@bsg.ox.ac.uk.

The closing date for applications is 12:00 noon (UK time) on Monday, 27 September 2021.
