The Blavatnik School of Government is one of only a few global schools of public policy in the world.

Ten years ago, 38 students from 19 different countries met in a small, wood-panelled room on Oxford’s historic Merton Street. They were founding members of a community driven to shape a world better led, better served, and better governed.

Since then, we have had the privilege of witnessing the creation of an international community that is growing and thriving, building friendships, networks, and helping and supporting each other, a new generation of public leaders committed to improving the lives of millions, and underpinning all they do with integrity and shared values.

  • The students who come to the Blavatnik School to study on our one-year Master of Public Policy (MPP) leave us ready to serve their communities and address some of the world’s most pressing public policy issues in an increasingly complex world.
  • The senior public sector leaders who join us from across the globe to study on our executive programmes learn how to manage the challenges facing the public sector today and build networks to set them up for future success.
  • Our research addresses some of the most urgent problems facing governments and communities across the world today, from improving education to addressing corruption.
  • We bring people together across disciplines and sectors to share knowledge, exchange ideas and create solutions, building unlikely coalitions.
