The Blavatnik School's Emily Jones and Beatriz Kira have submitted written evidence on the digital provisions of the UK-Japan agreement to the inquiry being conducted by the International Trade Committee in the House of Commons.

Evidence is available on the UK parliament website (see links above)

Emily and Beatriz have also written a blog for the UK Trade Policy Observatory, in which they consider the new digital provisions in the UK-Japan agreement and they analyse their implications for businesses, consumers, and workers. With changes for cross border data flows and privacy, algorithms and internet regulations, they argue that there is an urgent need to properly debate and scrutinise the deal.
