biography

Suzuna is Japanese government official and worked at the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW) of Japan since 2019. Previously, Suzuna studied developmental psychology at the University of Tokyo and holds a Bachelor of Education. During her time at MHLW, Suzuna has worked on numerous projects regarding healthcare and welfare, which include devising amendments to legislative bills that reformed the primary care system to meet the varying needs of the growing elderly population.

She is especially passionate about designing policies which not only overcome the various challenges that nations face, such as a rapidly ageing society, but improve the well-being of each individual as well. She is hoping to acquire multidisciplinary knowledge and decision-making skills through the MPP so that she can contribute to strengthening people’s physical, mental and societal health.

Suzuna is a Japanese Government Program Scholar.
