Federico J Rivas is a social entrepreneur with 10 years of experience working with NGOs in violence prevention and youth activism initiatives.

After studying for a BA in Government at Georgetown University and obtaining an MA from Harvard, Ferderico founded Cinetour, a platform providing free cinema in rural communities across Central America.

In 2016, he was awarded the 'Heroes of El Salvador' prize for his organisation’s work in peacebuilding. Recently he served as Co-Chair of the Advisory Council of the Global Shapers Community of the World Economic Forum. Ferderico is a Lean IN Leader at the Sheryl Sandberg Foundation and Chair of Global Dignity El Salvador.

At the Blavatnik School of Government, Federico wants to better understand the incentives to enhance public-private partnerships for some of the world's leading problems. He also wants to learn how to harness entrepreneurship to shape public policy.

During Federico's free time he enjoys writing poetry, reading Gabriel García Márquez, brewing speciality coffee and researching longevity as he looks to find a way to live past 130.
