biography

I am a management consultant from Nigeria with over seven years' experience across public, private and nonprofit sectors. My work focuses on system diagnostics; policy design, implementation and review; organisational capacity building and strengthening; and programme management. I am passionate about policies that improve delivery of health services. I am currently engaged as a senior associate with the Solina Centre for International Development and Research, where I lead a team providing technical and policy advisory services to two state governments in Northeastern Nigeria on expansion of polio vaccination to security-compromised areas.

Previously, I provided technical and advisory services to state governments on routine immunisation and strengthening of primary healthcare systems. I hold a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery degree. I am a Mandela Washington Fellow and the founder of Haven Trust Foundation, an NGO committed to improving health outcomes among underserved populations.

Babafemi is an Africa Initiative for Governance (AIG) Scholar.
