Capitalism recoupled

This paper examines the forces that have decoupled economic prosperity from social prosperity, and explores how recoupling can be promoted. Globalisation, technological advance and 'financialisation' have weakened the connections between economies and societies over the past four decades, according to the paper. The authors want to jettison the premise that social progress follows financial performance from economic decision-making.
