Blavatnik School of Government, Radcliffe Observatory Quarter, Woodstock Road, Oxford, OX2 6GG

We regret to inform that P. Chidambaram is no longer able to join us for this event.

A conversation with ex-Cabinet Minister S. Khurshid, moderated by Karthik Ramanna, Professor of Business and Public Policy at the Blavatnik School of Government.

As popular support for liberalism and free-markets has declined in the West, and as an alternative, strongman-style of governance has emerged in many countries, how robust is Indian democratic-capitalism? Can the Indian experience of economic growth within a democratic franchise provide an example for other emerging countries? What role does India have to play in economic, moral, and political leadership for the next decade?

This event is free and open to all.

The talk will be livestreamed and recorded on the Blavatnik School of Government YouTube channel.
