This week we're delighted to welcome a group of ten officials from Hong Kong, who will be with us for the whole Trinity Term to attend a bespoke programme held here at the Blavatnik School of Government.

The Hong Kong Government (HKG) Fellows are mid-level young civil servants from various bureaus and departments of Hong Kong. They will be in Oxford for a period of eight weeks during which they will attend dedicated lectures, events and seminars that will help them develop in-depth understanding of public policy and administration.

Through coursework, tutorials, and personal mentorship the HKG Fellows will be encouraged to reflect on their government’s policies and to identify real and potential challenges and solutions. With the help of expert Blavatnik School faculty and staff, the Fellows will develop new methods and policy research that will prove useful when addressing public policy challenges back in their home city.

As she welcomed the HKG Fellows to Oxford, our Dean Ngaire Woods said: “We are delighted to welcome these distinguished public servants to the Blavatnik School of Government. Our tailor-made programme represents a precious tool to help them rise to the next level of leadership and we hope they will enjoy their time in Oxford as visiting Fellows.”
