Over the past ten years he has built an extraordinary research programme exploring the quality of government worldwide. He will join the School’s growing team of scholars who are passionate about translating those lessons into improvement in government.”
Speaking of the appointment, Professor Rothstein said: “I am excited to be joining the Blavatnik School of Government and grateful to have the opportunity to contribute to the School’s vision of better government and public policy around the world. I envision that it will be a great opportunity for me for continuing the type of research I have been carrying out at the Quality of Government Institute at University of Gothenburg. I very much look forward to working with the School’s exceptional members of faculty and students alike.”
Professor Rothstein will officially take up his position at the Blavatnik School of Government on 11 January 2016, at the same time as becoming a Professorial Fellow of Nuffield College, Oxford.
