Edison Broce Urriola (MPP 2015) was included in the 13 youngest politicians in the world selected by Business Insider.
Edison is currently campaigning for a seat in Panama's National Assembly as an Independent Diputado (MP).
To officially become an independent candidate, an individual must collect a minimum of 2,105 signatures. Independents can collect signatures individually or in a list of a maximum of five people. There were only three spots available, and Edison collected more than 9,000 signatures and is the only candidate in his constituency to be running completely independently (other candidates belong to parties or independent lists).
