Pedro Enrique Garrigou
I am from Tres Arroyos, Argentina, and have a Bachelor of Art in International Relations. Since completing my studies, I have always worked for non-profit organisations, particularly in the humanitarian sector. I have coordinated interventions in diverse contexts of Africa, Middle East and South America. Some of them have been core emergency responses, such as in Syria and Democratic Republic of Congo, while others have included long-term advocacy activities, like in Colombia. Right now, I am the Country Director of Doctors Without Borders in Colombia where my role has been to respond to acute emergencies but also to readapt the organisation’s strategy according to the current changes related to the peace talks. After many years in core humanitarian contexts, I am interested in learning about social and development policies that may lead to long term changes in society. Other areas of policy interest include urban development and digital governance.
