Ka Wai Kong

Hongkonger

I am primarily interested in social mobility, cross-sector collaboration and non-profit management. Representing Hong Kong, I also aspire to learn better policies that can cope with the unique challenges presented by the “One Country Two Systems” constitutional arrangement. I graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong majoring Global Business Studies in 2008 and I received a Master of Social Work degree from The University of Hong Kong in 2011. Upon graduation, I worked for the non-profit sector in Hong Kong and China for 3 years and moved to Burberry as Foundation and Community Investment Manager for Asia, overseeing regional grant-making and charity partnerships for 5 years. In 2013, I became one of the founding members of InspiringHK Sports Foundation, a charity utilizing the power of sports to encourage social inclusion and mobility. I am serving the Board as Chief Campaigner and Executive Director, overseeing its full operation.
