I am a Civil Servant by profession. Currently, working in the Economic Affairs Division dealing with the development portfolios of USA, Canada, Australia and International NGOs.
I was born in an extremely conservative family, who believed in the traditional role of women in the society. My family was never in favour to allow a girl to exercise her right to education in particular. My mother despite being not much educated had a great sense of woman empowerment. She instilled in my mind that even in this male dominating society; a woman can accomplish excellence only through better education. I am the first girl in my family to graduate from a University and also the first Public Servant from the District I belong. My journey has been strenuous but it taught me that life can be challenging at times but what emerges afterwards is only a better version of you.
